School Meals: Strict Quality Control from Farm to Fork
As a catering provider, Ms. Nguyen Thi Son, Head of Food Safety and Quality Control at The Caterers Food Supply Co., Ltd., shared that school catering is a highly specialized field as it serves a large number of students simultaneously. Therefore, the entire process—from ingredient receiving, storage, and preparation to cooking and transportation—must be strictly monitored. Before being delivered to schools, meals must meet quality standards, be kept at appropriate temperatures, and arrive strictly on schedule.

Ms. Son added that the unit recently signed a commitment with the Department of Food Safety. For the company, ensuring food safety in schools is not only a legal responsibility but also a driving force to elevate operational standards, preserve brand reputation, and build trust with customers.

"We are seriously implementing the 6 requirements set by the Department of Food Safety to ensure food safety for consumers. By delivering on what we have committed to, we gain long-term customer trust. This, in turn, enhances our corporate reputation and helps the company build a more sustainable customer base," Ms. Nguyen Thi Son shared.
